Musical creator Lin-Manuel Miranda re-tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, former U.S. Secretary of Treasury, through Hip-Hop and R&B music that has charmed audiences for close to 10 years. "I understand how ridiculous the elevator pitch for this show is," says Miranda. "It sounds improbable. And then once you start hearing about Hamilton's life story, it sort of makes sense". Alexander Hamilton’s life is a chaotic one, to say the least.

From writing the Federalist Papers to setting up the American Coast Guard, and finally meeting his demise at the hands of Vice President Aaron Burr. Hamilton deals with a number of key points in the Nations history.

By re-telling this story, the Musical has gone on to win 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy, and a 2016 Pulitzer Prize!

Show creator Lin-Manuel Miranda not only produced this award-winning work, but he also took on the role of Alexander Hamilton when the show first came to Broadway.

The main cast of the show, despite taking on the roles of white historical figures, is primarily made up of African and Hispanic actors. "This is a story about America then, told by America now," says Lin-Manuel Miranda. The current cast of Hamilton features talented actors such as Trey Curtis as Alexander Hamilton, Tamar Greene as George Washington, Stephanie Jae Park as Eliza Hamilton, and others.
